Many visitors come to Sydney for the iconic Bondi Beach, not only a swathe of golden sand, but also an area popular with tourists and locals alike, with plenty of shops, cafes and eateries in the vicinity. The beach itself is a haven for sun worshippers and surfers alike, with the latter occupying the rougher end of the beach, whilst swimmers are encouraged to head to the opposite end. Aside from Bondi Beach, the other two major sights of Sydney are the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, and we recommend you see both. For a real treat, take part in a Sydney Harbour Bridge climb and see everything from the vantage point at its summit. The Rocks area is another one well worth a visit, as it contains some of the most historic buildings in the city.

Places to eat, drink and shop are easy to come by in Sydney, with everything from sprawling shopping districts to trendy boutique stores flanked by hip coffee houses in hidden neighbourhoods on offer. For the big brands and easy access, the city centre has plenty of fine restaurants and shopping, as does the Darling Harbour area. City South is home to Sydney’s Chinatown and some great cafes and shops, whilst City East is famed for its buzzing nightlife. Greater Sydney has some of the larger shopping malls, with Chatsworth and Parramatta popular.

There’s no end of luxury hotels in and around Sydney, so you really are spoilt for choice.
