Chefornak Airport is located within the Bethel Census Area, which is the state of Alaska. The airport is open for public use and is owned by the State of Alaska DOT&PF. The airport can be found along the Kinia River, and boasts a single gravel runway. A new runway was built further out from the village as there were concerns about the current runway being too close to public facilities.
