Cecil County Airport is a general aviation public use facility located on the Elk River at the head of the Chesapeake Bay, three miles southwest of Elkton. It is positioned between the metropolitan areas of Baltimore/Washington and Wilmington/Philadelphia. It could be considered more of an airfield with a single runway and is privately owned. The facility runs around 35 flights per day and bases approximately 44 aircraft at any given time. It went through several renovations in the 80s and 90s.
