Cape May Airport is located four miles northwest of the CBD of Wildwood, Rio Grande (Middle Township), Cape May County, New Jersey. It is a city-owned, public-use airport.

It was founded in 1941 and was then known as the NAS Rio Grande, but due to confusion with Rio Grande, Texas, it was changed to NAS Wildwood in 1943. At the end of World War II, it was deeded to the local government for use as a civilian airport, and named Cape May County Airport.
