Expediting essential tent parts to Maui
In August 2023, a tent rental company asked us to help transport weighted metal plates from North America to Hawaii following the devastating Maui wildfires. The plates were needed to stop relief tents from blowing away, so we needed to get the cargo there within 24 hours to ensure they could be set up properly without delay.
Our Solution
Route: Missouri > Maui
Aircraft: Dassault Falcon 900
We needed to find an aircraft with a new crew and good positioning in order to complete the nine-and-a-half-hour flight directly without a rest stop.
Additionally, many airlines were reluctant to risk transporting cargo like metal plates due to the risk of damage.
Leveraging our strong industry relationships, we sourced a Falcon 900 after assuring the operator that measures would be put in place to prevent any damage to the aircraft.
The Falcon 900 was ideal, as it had a large luggage hold and could carry a lot of weight within a small square footage.
