About football’s showpiece
A winner-takes-all final has wrapped up every American football season since 1966. Featuring the year’s two league champions, the game is hosted at a different stadium every year. The 2025 game of games will take place at the Superdome in New Orleans; far from the city’s first time hosting the event, 2025 will mark the 11th time the city has been the stage of football’s biggest showdown (which will mean it ties with Miami for the most times hosted after next year’s event).
The big match’s return to New Orleans marks a momentous occasion for the city, which was ravaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The Superdome itself holds a special place in the hearts of the Louisianans, as it was a symbol of recovery when it housed 30,000 refugees during the natural disaster; however, like the city itself, the stadium was re-built from the ground up, with the stadium’s official website calling the Superdome the "biggest stadium reconstruction project in American history”. The superdome was reborn, and goes on to shine as a beacon of the resilience of New Orleans and its people.
While millions of people tune in to watch the football, the special halftime show is arguably as famous as the match itself – originally featuring a college marching band, now audiences are treated to miniature but high-production show from some of the world’s most famous artists, with 2025’s extravagant installment being provided by rapper Kendrick Lamar.
How to get to New Orleans by private jet
There are two main airports to fly into New Orleans, and both are within 30 minutes of the Superdome:
- New Orleans Lakefront Airport (NEW)
- Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY)
The usual choice for both private and commercial jets flying into New Orleans is the Lakefront Airport, located in Orleans Parish, just five miles northeast of the city’s central business district. The airport served as the city’s major commercial hub until the opening of Louis Armstrong Int’l in 1946. Lakefront Airport is known for its Art Deco exterior, with a large part of its interior decoration also matching the lavish design of the outside, making sure that you arrive in style.
Alternatively, it is also possible to land at Louis Armstrong Int’l, with both runways long enough to accommodate private jets and airliners of all sizes, certainly a tick-off on the aviation bucket list, Louis Armstrong Int’l sits at average height of 4.5ft above sea level, making it the second-lowest-lying international airport in the world (second only to Schiphol Int’l in Amsterdam).
Popular private jets to charter in the USA
North America has the world’s biggest private jet market, so there are plenty of private jets to choose from, wherever you’re traveling. But out of the 9,000 taking off every day, there are some particularly popular private jets our clients regularly prefer to charter.

Bombardier Learjet 60
With its impressive fuel efficiency and use of NASA technology, the Bombardier Learjet 60 is one of the most competitively-priced midsize private jets to charter. But it’s not just the price that makes this jet so sought-after. Able to accommodate up to seven passengers (eight if the enclosed lavatory is used as an extra seat), the Learjet 60’s spacious cabin is ideal for both work and relaxation.

Beechcraft King Air 200
Part of the most popular family of turboprops ever created, the Beechcraft King Air 200 excels in all regions and environments thanks to its versatility and robust airframe. Despite its perception as a rugged “go anywhere, go anytime” aircraft, its cabin is extremely comfortable and spacious for a turboprop. The King Air 200 typically seats up to seven passengers and is frequently used for short hops.

Cessna Citation X
With a top speed of Mach 0.9, it’s little wonder the Cessna Citation X is one of the USA’s favorite private jets to charter. The eight-seat cabin is typically laid out with two club suites separated by fold-away tables for working and dining, while the heated and pressurized baggage compartment helps protect cargo regardless of external weather conditions.

Gulfstream IV
Gulfstream has long been a trusted name in the private jet industry and the Gulfstream IV (also known as the G-IV or GIV) is one of the brand’s most popular aircraft. With a range of around 4,500 miles and a baggage compartment large enough for 19 suitcases, the G-IV is often chartered by large groups flying across the USA.

Hawker 800XP
While the Hawker 800XP doesn’t have one stand-out feature compared to its competitors, its popularity stems from its ability to strike a balance between cost-efficiency, availability, fuel economy, climb and cruise performance, interior comfort and takeoff distance. The aircraft’s cabin can appear in a variety of layouts, but the most common configurations seat up to eight people with a three-seat divan in the rear. Similar aircraft in this Hawker family include the popular Hawker 800XPI, Hawker 850XP and Hawker 900XP.

Remember – time is of the essence:
In 2024, Las Vegas’s three major airports struggled to accommodate both the control tower slots and the parking space required for the jets attending the game. We expect the same, if not greater demand for jet arrangements for the next installment – stay ahead of the game and guarantee your place at the biggest sporting event of the year.
